In establishing this result, one is led to consider Dehn surgery on certain Seifert ﬁbred manifolds, the result of which is in turn often forced to branch cover a quasi-alternating link for topological reasons. More generally, many families of quasi-alternating links arise in this way, and it is this point that we hope to elucidate here.
